Awards and Recognitions
ZRC SAZU awards and recognitions for outstanding achievements in the development of the humanities as well as social and natural sciences are conferred on researchers who have vitally contributed to ZRC SAZU's standing both in Slovenia and worldwide. The research centre also grants scholarships to the most accomplished junior researchers and bestows recognition on members of its specialist and technical staff for outstanding performance obtained through diligence, precision, and professionalism.
The ZRC SAZU Honorary Member title is presented to researchers who are not employed at ZRC but have nonetheless played a critical role in establishing its standing both in Slovenia and worldwide.
The ZRC SAZU Researcher Emeritus/Emerita title is awarded to retired researchers of ZRC who have been instrumental in building its renown by attaining outstanding research results while also successfully tackling important leadership, organizational, and coordination tasks.
The ZRC SAZU Golden Emblem award is conferred on Slovenian or foreign researchers for attaining outstanding research results under ZRC's programs and projects.
The ZRC SAZU Silver Emblem award is presented to Slovenian junior researchers for outstanding doctoral dissertations in the humanities as well as social and natural sciences.
The ZRC SAZU Blue Emblem award is presented to members of ZRC's specialist and technical staff who have distinguished themselves with their diligence, precision, as well as outstanding performance, which have proven fundamental to ZRC’s overall success.
The Bojan Erhartič Scholarship is granted to the most accomplished junior researchers at ZRC SAZU holding a title lower than Specialist Staff. The scholarship is intended for work in research and higher education organizations abroad or for covering the costs of professional training.
Awards and recognitions are presented at the Generations of Science event.
